Located in Kennedy Union, UD’s student union, The Galley is the perfect place to pick up a tasty treat with its central location on campus. Stop by in between classes to pick up a coffee or indulge in the popular mud-pie shake and stay for awhile. With the expansive location in the Hangar, The Galley is the ideal place to catch up with friends over ice cream or work on some homework with a hot chocolate. The delectable menu offers an assortment of ice cream flavors and specialty shakes, hot pretzels, bosco sticks, and cookies. The Galley accepts Flyer Express, meal plans, and major credit cards.

Division History:

The Galley opened in August 2004 along with the Hangar in Kennedy Union. Initially, the menu primarily offered ice cream, but expanded to include more items like bosco sticks, cookies, and coffee. In 2005, The Galley began to focus on marketing, which successfully resulted in annual sundae eating contests and hot drink give-aways in the winter. The Galley is currently focused on expanding the menu to include items such as on-the go-snacks. With 25 employees and two managers, the Galley is known for its strong culture with the phrase “Galley love.”
